A new version of TheBetEngine has just been released.
To update your existing version, you should follow these simple instructions:
1. Close down the existing copy of TheBetEngine (if it is running).
2. Wait 1 minute (to allow all files to be saved) then reboot your machine to ensure that no errant processes are still running.
3. Download the new release from http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/downloads ... .6.5.0.exe
4. Double-click on the newly downloaded file to start the installation (you can safely install this version on top of the existing version)
Additions
1. New settings added to Settings/Live odds - Disable access to Sporting Life/Disable access to Oddschecker. Ticking these options will prevent TheBetEngine from accessing the relevant web site (see notes below)
2. New setting added to Settings/Diagnostics - Log missing selections. When loading a selection file, the default is to ignore any selections that cannot be located in the specified race. When the "Log missing selections" option is ticked, TBE will write the missing selections to a file which is placed in the Logs folder. For example, if you were loading a selection file called LayFormula.csv, then any missing selections would be written to a file called LayFormula_Missing.txt
3. New lay staking plan - % Up Down. You can adjust the stake by a fixed percentage after a win or a loss.
4. New Plugin - AdvGenderChecks. You can now filter a race based on its gender composition. For example, select races that contain female runners only; or select races where males made up X% of the field.
5. Horse form checks have been enhanced. In addition to 1-9, it is now possible to specify 0 (zero) to indicate a horse finishing outside the top 9; -1 to indicate a horse failing to finish; or P (pulled up), F (fell), U (unseated rider) or R (refused/run out).
6. Limits are now checked immediately a betting tab is set to Active. If a limit has already been reached then the tab will be set to Stopped. This is to prevent tabs from being manually reactivated without resetting the limits.
7. Selection files can now use the Betfair course abbreviations instead of the full course name.
Fixes
1. The wrong persistence was placed on a bet if Use Odds was set to BSP and Enable InPlay was ticked (an invalid combination!)
2. When dutching the book value was checked against the entire field, regardless of how many runners had been selected. The book value is now calculated for the selected runners only.
3. The Lay % Recovery plan could fail to recover the complete loss if Recovery % was set to a value greater than 100 and Recover Over was set to a value greater than 1.
4. TheBetPlan plugin now ignores selections posted for previous days and continues to wait for today's selections to be posted.
5. The wrong commentary message (bet time not reached) could be displayed if the bet time was set to a negative value.
6. Odds returned from OC that contain "NaN" (not a number) are now handled correctly.
Notes
OC have started aggressively blocking access to their web site for computers that make many calls for their odds information but do not place any bets through the OC site. If your IP address becomes blocked, then TBE will display a red cross where the OC comms indicator is normally displayed (in the status bar). If you become blocked, you should disable access to the OC site via Settings/Live Odds.
