TheBetEngine - New Release (version 2.6.2.0)
Posted: Wed Mar 20, 2013 5:18 pm
A new version of TheBetEngine has just been released. Upgrading is recommended.
To update your existing version, you should follow these simple instructions:
1. Close down the existing copy of TheBetEngine (if it is running).
2. Wait 1 minute (to allow all files to be saved) then reboot your machine to ensure that no errant processes are still running.
3. Download the new release from http://www.betdynamics.com/downloads/Th ... .6.2.0.exe
4. Double-click on the newly downloaded file to start the installation (you can safely install this version on top of the existing version)
Additions
1. You can now load selections files that consist only of the date, the time, the course and the selection name (the date must be the UK date in dd/MM/yyyy format) where overrides are not required - see Appendix C of the manual.
2. Dutch betting criteria have been extracted on to their own tab in the Betting Criteria area.
3. Max ROI has been added to dutch betting, so now both Min and Max ROI can be specified.
4. Min and Max Book Value have been added to the dutch options for both back and lay bets.
5. Exporting the betting log in Staking Machine format now uses the separator set in Settings/General.
6. Exporting the betting log in CSV format now uses the separator set in Settings/General.
7. If the CLOCK warning is displayed (when the PC time is out of sync with Internet time) then the no. of seconds difference is also displayed.
8. Events can now be filtered according to the Race Class (UK races only).
9. A warning message is now displayed if you attempt to use a % recovery staking plan when Use Odds is set to BSP (you cannot do this as the odds are not known and therefore the size of the stake cannot be calculated)
10. New plugin - LoadSelectionsFromURL - this allows the automatic download and loading of a selections file from a given URL (enabling automatic delivery of tipster files) [see note 2]
11. New plugin - LoadSelectionsFromFile - this allows the automatic loading of a selections file from a given folder at a given time (enabling automatic loading of tipster files) [see note 2]
12. New plugin - LoadHRBSelectionsFromFile - this allows the automatic loading of the My Qualifiers file that can be downloaded by members of Horse Race Base (the plugin allows the loading of individual systems from within the file) [see note 2]
Fixes
1. The staking on the last race of a qualifying race sequence has been corrected (this was released in patch release 2.6.1.4)
2. The Next Stake display is now adjusted if a qualifying race sequence is in operation.
3. The sequence counts are now correctly reset on rollover if Carry Forward Counts is ticked and the betting tabs has a status of STOPPED.
4. When operating in SYSTEM mode, both back and lay bets can now be correctly placed (a bug was preventing lay bets from being placed if back bets had already been processed)
5. Below minimum BSP bets placed on greyhound markets are now placed using the right liability.
6. Selections are now saved correctly (and reloaded successfully) if the separator is set to the pipe (|) character.
7. When E/W betting, the place element of a bet is now placed with the correct persistence.
8. Labouchere staking is now correct if the sequence contains an even number of entries.
Changes
1. The Kelly staking plan is now treated as a non-recovery staking plan.
2. The lay Kelly staking has been adjusted to reflect a new calculation formula (this is in line with the new formula used by the Staking Machine)
3. The Ratchet (Maria) staking plan is now treated as a non-recovery staking plan.
4. The divisor in the Pro staking plan can now be a decimal number.
5. "Ignore single sequence" has been added to the Labouchere staking plan. When ticked, if the sequence becomes a single entry, then the staking plan is reset.
6. Ranges now check that ALL ranges are respected (regardless of the number of runners). So if you have a range set for the 4th fav and the race only had three runners, then the range check will fail.
7. E/W betting is now prevented if the Place markets are not loaded.
8. To reduce confusion, the Load/Save buttons have now been renamed to Load/Save Selections and Load/Save Settings.
Notes
1. It is no longer possible to synchronise the clocks automatically under Windows 8. If you are running under Windows 8, please turn off "Sync clocks every hour" in Settings/General.
2. The LoadSelections... plugins allow you to specify a template for the filename, thereby catering for files that contain dates, etc. So, to load a file called Selections_20130320.csv, you would specify the filename as Selections_$d.csv
