Release 2.6.4.6
Posted: Sun Aug 18, 2013 9:56 pm
A new version of TheBetEngine has just been released. Due to changes in the way that Betfair handles races from Newmarket, upgrading is recommended.
To update your existing version, you should follow these simple instructions:
1. Close down the existing copy of TheBetEngine (if it is running).
2. Wait 1 minute (to allow all files to be saved) then reboot your machine to ensure that no errant processes are still running.
3. Download the new release from http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/downloads ... .6.4.6.exe
4. Double-click on the newly downloaded file to start the installation (you can safely install this version on top of the existing version)
Additions
1. Three new indicators have been added to the status bar - CD (course data), RD (race data) and HD (horse data). These indicators will show when the relevant information has not been loaded. Typically you should not see CD or RD (as this data is loaded when a rollover takes place), but HD will display until the horse data is loaded (generally about 1 hour before the start of UK racing).
2. TBE now checks to see if the market is enabled for BSP betting each time prices are obtained (this is because there have been some occasions recently where the BSP-enabled status of the market has changed after the races were initially loaded)
3. New race type - Handicap Stakes - has been added. If you are filtering on handicaps, make sure you include this new selection in Race Types (Events tab)
Fixes
1. Under certain conditions, manual betting systems operating recovery staking plans could continue to look for selections after the first bet was placed.
2. If E/W betting is enabled whilst betting InPlay and using BSP for checks, TBE will now wait for the BSP odds to be published for both the win and place markets before placing any bets.
3. The LoadSelectionsFromURL plugin now checks that the entered URL is valid.
4. Fixed a small problem when sending debug files.
Changes
1. Betfair has started flagging some races with Newmarket (July) as the course name. TBE will not make any distinction - races from Newmarket and Newmarket (July) will both be treated as just Newmarket (this means that external systems, that do not make any distinction, will work and selection files will load selections correctly)
Known issues with any new release will be posted at http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/knownissues.htm - please check on this page before reporting any new issues.
If you use any custom-built plugins, please contact me for updated versions. The current versions will NOT work with this release of TheBetEngine.
