Posted: Wed Sep 03, 2014 5:51 pm
A new version of TheBetEngine has just been released. Updating is recommended.
To update your existing version, you should follow these simple instructions:
1. Close down the existing copy of TheBetEngine (if it is running).
2. Wait 1 minute (to allow all files to be saved) then reboot your machine to ensure that no errant processes are still running.
3. Download the new release from http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/downloads ... .7.0.0.exe
4. Double-click on the newly downloaded file to start the installation (you can safely install this version on top of the existing version)
Additions
1. New backing staking plan - 1-4
2. New backing staking plan - Price Divisor
3. New backing staking plan - XYZ Threshold
4. New backing staking plan - Rolling
5. New laying staking plan - Rolling
6. Greyhound races can now be filtered by whether they are BAGS races, Evening races or Televised races (Events tab).
7. Added classes H1 to H8 to the race types for greyhound races.
8. Net Cycle Profit/Loss is now displayed at all times (it used to be shown only when the Action in Limits was set to RESET). Net Profit/Loss renamed to Net Session Profit/Loss.
9. BSP options (Bet tab) now includes a fixed liability option. When using BSP for checks (Criteria tab), the liability was "calculated" using the current projected BSP odds. With the fixed liability checkbox ticked, the liability will now be fixed at the value entered into the BSP liability box.
10. Bets can now be restricted to less than or equal to a specified % of the total runners through the Max % option (Bet tab). If the number of potential selections exceeds the specified %, then no bets are placed.
11. Added a new column to the Race grid - Exact. This can be used to specify the bet placement odds on a per selection basis when Use Odds is set to Exact (Bet tab).
12. Added a new field - Exact - to the end of the long-form selection file format. This field can be used to specify the bet placement odds to be used on a per selection basis from within the selection file.
13. New option added to General/Options - Rank weights "with "gaps". By default, TheBetEngine ranks horse weights with no gap after any horses with identical weights. Ticking this option introduces a gap after horses with identical weights.
14. New option added to General/Options - Rank DSLR "with gaps". By default, TheBetEngine ranks the days since last run information with no gap after any horses with identical DSLR. Ticking this option introduces a gap after horses that have the same DSLR.
15. New option added to General/Auto-Include - Deselect win/Deselect place. Sometimes it is necessary to load both win and place markets so that both sets of odds are available to TheBetEngine. However, in some caes, you do not want one of the markets to be automatically selected on the Race grid. These checkboxes allow control over what markets are automatically selected.
16. New option added to Settings/General to disregard a race/bets place on a race if the race does not suspend or go InPlay within a certain time period. This prevents TheBetEngine from becoming "stuck" if a race is heavily delayed.
17. New option added to Settings/General to automatically close a race (disregarding all bets placed on the race in the process) if the market has not been closed and settled within a specified time period. This prevents TheBetEngine from becoming "stuck" if Betfair decide not close and settle a market for a lengthy period of time.
18. New plugin - LowestBSP (returns the selection with the lowest BSP odds)
19. New plugin - HighestBSP (returns the selection with the highest BSP odds)
20. New plugin - WinAndPlaceOdds (allows selections to be checked against odds ranges on both the win and place markets)
21. New plugin - RandomDogTrap (returns a random dog trap as the next selection)
22. New plugin - DogTrapSequence (returns a dog trap against a specified sequence)
23. New plugin - SelectedRaceNumber (races are now "numbered" per course and can be filtered, e.g. don't bet on the 4th race; or only bets on races 1, 3 and 5)
24. New plugin - LoadGHBSelectionsFromURL (loads selections from a URL used by the GreyHorseBot)
Fixes
1. Fixed an issue where UAE races were not being displayed correctly.
2. Kempton Park (when used in selection files) is automatically translated to Kempton.
3. Great Yarmouth (when used in selection files) is automatically translated to Yarmouth.
4. Fixed an issue with form checking (if you specified a filter for 3LR but the horse had only run two races, then the filter would fail the check)
5. Fixed an issue where RP F/C were not always being downloaded correctly.
6. Fixed an issue where selection files were not being automatically read at the correct time if the bot had rolled-over automatically to a new day.
7. Fixed an issue where some limits were incorrectly not being reset when a new betting cycle was started.
Changes
1. Significant changes have been made to the race courses used for horse racing outside of the UK and Ireland (so AUS/NZ/USA/RSA and SAE). If you have filtered any betting tabs by individual course name, then TheBetEngine will issue a reminder that you need to review and update these settings.
2. As some new race types and race distances have been added to the Events tab, you are advised to revisit any betting tabs that use active filters and ensure that the new race types/race distances are added as required.
Notes
1. Due to OC aggressively disabling access to their web site for for people who gather information on live odds but do not place bets through the OC service, all functionality relating to OC has been removed.
Known issues with any new release will be posted at http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/knownissues.htm - please check on this page before reporting any new issues.
This version will be uploaded to the auto-update servers in a few days time at which point anyone running version 2.6.6.2 or later will be alerted to the fact that there is a new release and will be prompted to update.
This will be the last release of TBE (assuming no bugs are found!) that supports the Betfair API v6. This API is being retired on the 1st November 2014. Release 2.8 will work against the new Betfair API-NG and should be available in October, following security accreditation by Betfair.
