A new version of TheBetEngine has just been released. Updating is recommended.

This update has been uploaded to the auto-update servers, so you should be prompted to upgrade.

If you are still running version 2.8.0.6 or below, then you will need to update manually.

If you need to update manually, you should follow these simple instructions:

1. Close down the existing copy of TheBetEngine (if it is running).
2. Wait 1 minute (to allow all files to be saved) then reboot your machine to ensure that no errant processes are still running.
3. Download the new release from http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/downloads ... .8.1.4.exe
4. Double-click on the newly downloaded file to start the installation (you can safely install this version on top of the existing version)

Additions
1. Selection files that contain quote (") characters around the individual fields are now accepted.

Fixes
1. Fixed a problem with form filters and horses with no form.
2. Fixed an issue where bet processing errors treated some matched bets as unmatched.
3. Fixed an issue where the Must Run indicator was being ignored when one of the selections was a non-runner.
4. Races where the inferred winner and the published winner differ are once more highlighted in red.

Changes
1. Greyhound races can now be up to 8 runners.


Note - if you experience any problems with TBE after installing the new version, please do a manual installation (see instructions above) to see if that rectifies the issue.

A problem has been reported with the highlighting of changed results.

If horse numbering is turned on (via General / Options) then all results are highlighted in red regardless of whether the results have changed or not. A fix for this is being prepared and will be in the next release.

This problem has been fixed and will be in the next release.

A problem has been reported with Last Ranked Favourites when there is a non-runner in the race.

This has been traced to a difference in the way that Betfair now process non-runners. Previously Betfair removed any non-runner information from the data that was returned when requesting market prices. However, changes in the new API mean that these runners are no longer removed and this affects the Last Rank calculation.

This will be fixed in the next release of TBE.
