A new version of TheBetEngine has just been released. Updating is recommended.

This update will become mandatory at the end of next week due to impending changes at Betfair.

To update manually, you should follow these simple instructions:

1. Close down the existing copy of TheBetEngine (if it is running).
2. Wait 1 minute (to allow all files to be saved) then reboot your machine to ensure that no errant processes are still running.
3. Download the new release from http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/downloads ... .8.1.7.exe
4. Double-click on the newly downloaded file to start the installation (you can safely install this version on top of the existing version)

1. Fixed a problem where machines that only had the .Net 4.0 Client Profile installed could not run TBE.

Note - if you experience any problems with TBE after installing the new version, please perform a manual installation as per the instructions above.

If, after auto-updating, you are told that your password is invalid, then please perform a manual upgrade as per the instructions above.

The Square Root staking plan is not calculating the correct stakes following a win that generates an overall profit.

This will be fixed in the next release.

Due to impending changes at Betfair, use of Release 2.8.1.7 or later is now mandated.

Older versions of TBE have now been retired. If you are running a version of TBE earlier than 2.8.1.7 then you should update to the latest version at the earliest opportunity.

Setting Use Odds (Bet tab) to ABSP had no effect in test mode when operating on manual selections. This has been fixed and will be released in the next version.

There appears to be a problem with the MaxCombinedOdds plugin in the 2.8.1.7 release.

If you are using the MaxCombinedOdds plugin, then you are advised to download the latest pre-release from http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/downloads ... .8.1.8.exe

Once installed the title bar of TBE will display TheBetEngine 2.8.1.8A
