A new version of TheBetEngine has just been released. Updating is recommended.
This version will be uploaded to the auto-update servers at the beginning of January. In the meantime, if you wish to upgrade now, then you can do so manually.
To update manually, you should follow these simple instructions:
1. Close down the existing copy of TheBetEngine (if it is running).
2. Wait 1 minute (to allow all files to be saved) then reboot your machine to ensure that no errant processes are still running.
3. Download the new release from http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/downloads ... .9.0.0.exe
4. Double-click on the newly downloaded file to start the installation (you can safely install this version on top of the existing version)
Additions
1. Added option to the General/Advanced tab to stop (or switch to test mode) on a win where there are less than X races left. Useful when are cycle betting and want to stop on a win if there are insufficient races to complete another cycle.
2. Added option to Settings/General (Rollover settings) to automatically save the settings file for each tab when TBE rolls over to a new day.
3. LoadGHBSelectionsFromURL plugin will now accept selections for the Place market.
4. Added option to the Events tab to filter on the number of declared runners (this applies to UK/IRE horse racing only)
5. Selection files can now be provided with just the name of the selection (TBE will then search for the selection in all of the races and select it where found). You can use this in conjunction with the LoadSelectionsFromFile plugin to load a list of "watched" horses or dogs and TBE will select them any time that they are racing.
6. New LargestMover plugin (Post-Selection plugin). Use in conjunction with Steamers/Drifters to return the runner whose odds have moved the most.
7. New SmallestMover plugin (Post-Selection plugin). Use in conjunction with Steamers/Drifters to return the runner whose odds have moved the least.
8. To counter the always repeated question "Why is the Today's Runners grid greyed out?", an indicator has been placed on the grid telling how to activate it!
9. To counter the always repeated question "Why are some staking plans missing?", a warning indicator has been added to the staking dropdown box which is displayed if recovery staking plans are not enabled.
10. New RaceSelectionsFromFile plugin (Pre-Race plugin). Will load selections from a file for the current race only.
11. New RaceSelectionsFromURL plugin (Pre-Race plugin). Will load selections from a given URL for the current race only.
12. Book Pct now takes into account whether Reverse Prices is in operation. If reverse prices is ticked and you are backing, the book value is taken from the lay odds. If you are laying and reverse prices is ticked, then the book value is taken from the back odds.
13. Reset Stake now allows you three options - i) reset just the stake; ii) reset the stake and p/l; iii) reset the stake, p/l and limit counts

1. Corrected the implementation of the Square Root staking plan.
2. Corrected a couple of filenames so that some additional logs are returned when diagnostic logs are sent.
