A new version of TheBetEngine has just been released. Updating is recommended.
Due to impending changes at Betfair, this version will be mandated from the 19th December so you are advised to update prior to that date.
To update manually, you should follow these simple instructions:
1. Close down the existing copy of TheBetEngine (if it is running).
2. Wait 1 minute (to allow all files to be saved) then reboot your machine to ensure that no errant processes are still running.
3. Download the new release from http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/downloads ... .9.2.2.exe
4. Double-click on the newly downloaded file to start the installation (you can safely install this version on top of the existing version)
Changes
1. The Results Source has been split between Test and Live modes. Settled Market now operates in TEST mode and this will be the default as it more closely mimics what happens in the real-world. Due to the changes, you should explicitly check your Results Source for each strategy that you are currently using and ensure they are set correctly.
2. Snapshots. Dynamic snapshots can now be taken up to 2 hours before the start of a race (previously the limit was 1 hour)
Additions
1. General/Options - Min No. Of Meetings. You can now set the minimum number of qualifying meetings and prevent betting if the number falls below the specified value.
2. General/Auto-Load. Enables a races file (a "selection" file containing a list of qualifying races) to be automatically loaded at a set time from either a local file or a URL.
3. Save selection files in short format. To save a selection file in the short format (date,time,course,horse), just hold down the SHIFT key whilst clicking on the Save Selections button.
4. Save races file. To save a races file (date,time,course), just hold down the CTRL key whilst clicking on the Save Selections button.
6. Snapshots. Added an option to prevent betting if non-runners have been declared since the first snapshot was taken (non-runners can reduce the overall odds on the market, rendering the first snapshot inaccurate)
7. Added the IT race classification to Greyhound Racing race types.
8. General/Advanced - Min/Max Stakes. Allows you to set minimum and maximum stake values. Your stake will not go above or below the stated amounts. For example, if a recovery stake is calculated as £30 and you have set the Maximum Stake to £25, then a £25 bet will be placed.

1. Fixed an issue where place markets were not auto-closing correctly when race results were not received in a timely fashion.
2. Fixed an issue with the configuration of race types on Greyhound Racing.
