Betfair Security Changes - Mandated Update Required

On the 7th February 2019, Betfair are introducing some new security requirements for applications using their API (applications programming interface).
Basically, Betfair are mandating that all communications with their platform must use a certain secure messaging protocol and this will require an update to the existing versions of TBE.
The changes may also require updates to the Microsoft .Net Framework that is installed onto your machine.
In the week beginning 4th February, a new version of TBE will be made available (version 2.9.5.0). You are advised to download and install the new version at the earliest opportunity. When you install the new version of TBE, it will automatically check the currently installed version of the .Net Framework and it will advise you if you need to update your system.
On the 7th February, running the new version of TBE will become mandated. When you attempt to log in using an old version, you will be informed that the old version can no longer be used and that you will need to update immediately.
The new release will be made available on the 4th Feb and will be announced in the New Releases section of the forum - viewforum.php?f=2
All being well, it will also be placed onto the automatic update server, so you should get notification of an available update when you log in to TBE.
Please note:
The .Net Framework 4.7.2 is not supported on either Windows XP or Windows Vista.
If you are running Windows 7, then you need to be running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 as a minimum.
