Place a manual back bet on a horse at specified odds and specified stake

THIS IS A SAMPLE SCENARIO AND IS NOT INTENDED TO BE USED AS A BONA-FIDE SYSTEM

Please refer to viewtopic.php?f=31&t=465 for general advice on setting up a new system in TheBetEngine. This example concentrates on specifying the low-level details and does not touch on the high-level details/staking.

SCENARIO: Place a manual back bet on a horse at specified odds and specified stake

General Set-up
1. CLICK ON RESET ALL (to reset all parameters to their default values)
2. Click on the Settings menu, and ensure that Enable Overrides and Enable Advanced Overrides are ticked, then click on Save.
3. On the Ranking tab, set the Selection Type to Manual (this will activate the runners grid)
4. On the Criteria tab, set the required bet time
5. On the Criteria tab, set Use Odds to EXACT

Making selections
1. Select the desired race on the race grid - the runners for that race will now appear in the runners grid.
2. On the runners grid, select the desired horse by ticking the left hand checkbox (to the left of the horse's name)
3. On the runners grid, scroll to the right to find the column labelled Stake and enter the required stake.
4. On the runners grid, scroll to the right to find the column labelled Exact and enter the odds you want the bet placed at.

Bets will only be placed when the betting tab is set to ACTIVE.

A bet for the specified stake will be placed on the specified horse at the specified bet time. The bet will be placed at the specified odds value and will only be matched if the odds on the market are greater than or equal to the odds value (and there is money available). If the odds on the market are smaller than the specified odds value, then the bet will be cancelled automatically by Betfair at the off.

This can be operated in LIVE mode only (you cannot set Use Odds to EXACT in TEST mode)
