A new version of TheBetEngine has just been released. Updating is recommended.
If you are still running version 2.6 or version 2.7 of TheBetEngine, then updating to version 2.8 is mandated. Failure to update will mean that your existing bot will cease to work on the 9th November 2014, when Betfair retire their old API.
To update to the latest version, you should follow these simple instructions:
1. Close down the existing copy of TheBetEngine (if it is running).
2. Wait 1 minute (to allow all files to be saved) then reboot your machine to ensure that no errant processes are still running.
3. Download the new release from http://www.thebetengine.co.uk/downloads ... .8.0.7.exe
4. Double-click on the newly downloaded file to start the installation (you can safely install this version on top of the existing version)

If you are updating from version 2.6 or 2.7 then you will need to activate the software. This currently requires two steps:
1. If you have not logged into the Betfair web site since Sunday 2nd November, then you need to visit the Betfair web site and log in normally. This is because Betfair issued some new Terms and Conditions on the 3rd November and they are blocking access to the API-NG until the Terms and Conditions have been accepted. [Note: this may not apply to accounts that use Betfair Australia, but you are advised to check anyway]
2. When you run TheBetEngine, you should be prompted to enter an activation code. Please see http://betdynamics.uservoice.com/knowle ... ation-code for details of how to get your code.
