Please be aware that Betfair are reporting issues with bet placement.
This affects all Betfair customers - both web site and API users.

Not only are they having problems placing bets, but it seems that Betfair are having manually settle markets, which means that everything is massively delayed or not accessible.
Personally I have decided to abandon betting for the day (as of 14:15)
